- Lettered as halfback in 1943,44,46,47.
- Scored twice in the last two minutes, including an 80-yard punt return on the 1944 USC game's final play, to get the Bruins a tie.
- Led the Bruins in rushing and total offense in 1943.
- Led the team in rushing and receiving in the 1944.
- He and Bill Clements were tied as the school's leading scorers in 1947. Also led team in scoring in 1944.

- Earned All-Coast honors in 1944.
