  • Lettered as tight end in 1978,79,80,81.
  • Leading receiver in 1979.
  • Was No. 2 in career receptions (73 catches) at the time.
  • Was third round selection in 1982 NFL Draft.
  • Member of the 1986 Super Bowl team (Chicago Bears).

ACCOLADES

  • Earned consensus All-American honors in 1981.
  • All-Pac-10 in 1980 and 81.
  • Was also an Academic All-American in 81.
  • Bruins' rookie of the year in 1978.
  • Inducted into UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame in 2003.
