Id rather have DTR back for another year. He can make some big time throws and I think his scrambling ability sets him apart from other qbs.

I'm not a fan

I'm from Oklahoma so I always watch their games and never liked Rattler. He has slow feet for a QB of his small stature. I'd really rather go with Garbers.

If Rattler does pick UCLA

I am fine with the competition. Have a couple intriguing young recruits in Hollawayne and Martin. Have the competent Chase Lewis. I really like what I see from Garbers. If DTR stays, he really came on this season. Rattler or another transfer would make for mad QB depth and whoever won the job would be a capable starter.

We aren't in a position to turn down talent

Competition is only a good thing.

If DTR, Ryan, Charbonnet and Phillips all leave, next year is shaping up to be Chip's worst team yet, the least talented maybe (pre transfer portal additions). QB is the wildcard, Garbers could be good, could not, but next years team isn't looking like its going to be any more talented than the 3-9 and 4-8 teams.

We are in no position to decline anyone of any moderate capability that wants to come, we got to get as many players as possible and hopefully the best rise to the top.

I think DTR is gone

I’d be surprised if he came back for a fifth year. So I’ll gladly take Rattler. He’s a polished QB with big time arm talent. Maybe needs to make better decisions at times and hopefully he doesn’t get frustrated with lack of surrounding talent because it will clearly be worse than what he had at OU.

https://247sports.com/Article/Transfer-portal-2022-Quinn-Ewers-Spencer-Rattler-Adrian-Martinez-Dillon-Gabriel-Eli-Ricks-177501199/Amp/

Before Ewers dipped into the portal, Spencer Rattler was the most high-profile QB on the market. Arizona State seemed like the most obvious destination, but Jayden Daniels returning for his senior year seems to squash that. I’ve seen Missouri and UCLA thrown out as options, but sources indicate neither is likely to happen. As for who else could be in the mix, there’s been some chatter about Oregon, but that’s in flux with Mario Cristobal on his way out. There’s also a pretty strong connection with South Carolina – Shane Beamer coached Ratter at Oklahoma – that could manifest. Don’t be surprised if another school pops into the mix here.
