In regards to the heat, I mentioned

On another Bruin group that I’ve umpired baseball in weather in the high 90’s and an excellent trick to beat the heat is to soak your shirt under a faucet, lightly wring it out and put it on. Works like a champ and your shirt was going to get wet anyway.

White shirt works best, since it reflects all the colors of the spectrum.

It was 5% humidity today. You'd need gallons of water to keep that shirt wet for the entire game.

In similar conditions to what is expected on Saturday and stayed cool for at least half of my baseball game. I wouldn’t do this for my CIF games but my Pony baseball games are in Calabasas a couple miles from Woodland Hills and it’s both hot and dry. Others have tried it on my recommendation and now make a habit of it.
Ps: I do wear an Under Armor type tee shirt underneath which may help.
