- Lettered in 1943,44,46,47. Played center and linebacker.
- Team captain in 1943,44,47. Was team captain as a freshman.
- Was a 3rd round selection in the 1947 NFL Draft. Played for LA Rams from 1948-55. Earned All-NFL honors in 1953. Played in four Super Bowls and 3 Pro Bowls.
ACCOLADES
- Earned All-Coast honors in 1946 and 1947.
- Inducted into UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame in 1986
