- Played for the San Francisco 49ers from 1961 to 1976.
- As a pro, he played on offense, at safety before moving to cornerback permanently in 1963.
- Had outstanding speed, leaping ability.
- Named all-pro four times. . .Selected to five Pro Bowls.
- Career record: 47 interceptions, 615 yards (both were 49ers records).
