- Led team in pass receiving and kickoff returns in '61 and '62.
- Led team in scoring and rushing in '62.
- Also a top defensive player.
- 1st round selection in the 1963 NFL Draft (San Fransisco).

- Two-time team MVP (61,62)
- Earned consensus All-American honors in 1962.
- Inducted into UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame in 1986.
