CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
- Lettered as tackle in 1934,35,36.
- Served as team captain in 1936.
COACHING HIGHLIGHTS
- Coached UCLA's freshman team upon his return from military duty in 1946.
- Was assistant to Coach Sanders for nine years, eventually becoming chief assistant. Previous to that, he was assistant to Bert LaBrucherie.
- Became head coach after "Red" Sanders death. Coached for three games in 1958 after which he resigned due to nervous exhaustion.
ACCOLADES
- Inducted into UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame in 1987.
