CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

- Was also a boxing and ice hockey star for UCLA.
- Returned to alma mater to coach freshman football, boxing and ice hockey.
- Served in the Army, where he headed a football unit at Camp Haan.
- Upon return, he served as head of UCLA's physical education department until retiring in 1972.
