CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

  • Lettered in 1952,53,54. Played offensive and defensive guard.
  • Played on National Championship team.
  • Team was 25-3 in his career.

COACHING HIGHLIGHTS

  • Assistant coach at UCLA for 10 years under Coach Red Sanders, George Dickerson and Bill Barnes.
  • Had a 13-year coaching career in the NFL, including coaching staff duties on two of the Oakland Raiders Super Bowl championship teams.

ACCOLADES

  • Inducted into UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999.
  • Named to the 1954 All-Coast team
  • Selected to play in the 1954 Shrine East-West game.
  • Also was selected as a 1954 First-Team Academic All-American.
