- Rushed for 169 yards against Oregon in 1945, which stood as a school record for 15 years.

- Has distinction of being the only football player ever to be selected twice in the NFL Draft. Drafted in the 1st round (9th overall) in the 1946 NFL Draft (Washington), but the pick was illegal because Rossi was a junior and not draft eligible. He was again chosen in the 1st round of the 1947 NFL Draft by the Redskins.
