  • Scored twice in the last two minutes, including an 80-yard punt return on the 1944 USC game's final play, to get the Bruins a tie.
  • Led the Bruins in rushing and total offense in 1943.
  • Led the team in rushing and receiving in the 1944.
  • He and Bill Clements were tied as the school's leading scorers in 1947. Also led team in scoring in 1944.
