Bring on the 0-2 star nobodies' and coach 'em up!

Half the time, these 5-star recruits come w a lot of baggage, ego and attitude problems. Let's clone JK and fill our team w blue collar lunch pail kids that love UCLA and football. More Mafi's wouldn't hurt. Get the JC kids. Speight-types are great asset while we're building our future. Never know who the next Mariota might be.

Star rating as long as they fit the schemes. Mora’s problem was he kept changing schemes and coordinators and wound up with the island of misfit toys.

Five stars are five stars for a reason and you have better odds of building a great team with great coaching and great players. Coaching 'em up works if you have a defined system and time to grow kids in it and have a clear idea of who you want, but even then you're putting a ceiling on the program and not even taking advantage of being in THE BIGGEST POOL OF TALENT IN THE COUNTRY.

Coach 'em up AND get the talented kids who are available, this isn't an either/or.

my buddy coaches there and sent me a picture with the one coach that always wears the pin striped suits (forgot name). He said that we are targeting 5 players on their team which is a good thing.
