Still out on Hurts?
Posted Sat, Dec 01 6:36 pm
For those of you who were not interested in hurts as a transfer, would you still rather have DTR next year?

No on Hurts

If Tate becomes available from Arizona, I'm in favor of bringing him in. I think DTR has potential but he needs more experience simply playing the QB position since he started only 1 year in HS.

The reason I don't like Hurts is he is limited as a passer (Tagovailoa became the starter to jump start this facet of the Bama offense). Yes, he has his moments like today but unlike the SEC where defenses don't face many pass oriented offenses, Pac12 teams deal with a myriad of passing teams. As a result, they develop sophisticated defensive schemes that will confuse Hurts and hamper his effectiveness in the Pac12. I think CCK will attempt to bring in 2 QBs in this recruiting cycle (Griffin from Texas, maybe Daniels though it seems like Utah).

Hurts Hands Down

Look at all the game experience and the type of games Hurts has been in , the way he's handled himself when Tua was given the starting spot, the leadership he's shown going through this and finally the way he led Bama coming from behind and winning last night's game ? If I had my choice between the 2 for only 1 year of service I don't think there's much of a choice!

I like Hurts a lot. Hurts, Bryant or Tate. I'd take any of them.

Hurts or Khalil in a second

Chip is commited to UCLA first (not DTR or any player). That was the problem of Mora, he played favorites instead of playing the best players. DTR's lack of HS experience showed this year. Although, he has a strong arm & is a good athlete, he needs more time and UCLA cant wait.

I like DTR, but whatever option gives UCLA the best chance to win in 2019. UCLA is brining in 2 QB's next year that will compete for 2020...so were set from then on.

Hurts to Ucla? Khalil to Ucla? Just like Tagovailoa to Ucla last year? Any ounce of truth to these rumors?

DTR hasnt proved much yet. He's showed some flashes, but we cant put all our eggs into the DTR basket. If someone can help us win next year, bring him in!
