Participation trophies. Boomers gave them to us. Yet they also love to criticize us for them. Weird how that works.

This discussion caused me to go review when "participation trophies" actually became a thing. I don't really recall getting them as a kid, but apparently it goes way beyond the boomers!

and don't really remember getting participation trophies, although I'm sure I did at a young age. Either way, kids know who has earned their award and who hasn't.
