"I'm really excited to be a Bruin," Crawford said. "I loved the all around fit and it just felt like the best place for me. I've always liked UCLA and have had a couple of really good visits earlier in the week and last month too."

Committed the night of his unofficial visit. Doesn't sound like a guy that's looking around.

Let's hope he remains solid in his commitment to UCLA. Let's also hope he is the first of many to commit to UCLA for 2023 after the Bruins post a winning 2021-22 season.

Maliki Crawford had offers from most of the PAC 12 (including USV & Oregon) three Big 10 schools (Mich, Michigan State, & Minnesota) Florida State & Miami among others. No wonder as 6’3” corners don’t grow on every tree.

The fascinating thing is the smart guess on the Boom was Norte Dame transfer Devin Aupui. What’s so fascinating about that ?? Crawford is a 2023 recruit from Pacifica HS in Oxnard … the same HS Aupui graduated from.
