Hard to tell why he hasn't played. Had a good offer list out of HS (UW under DeBoer, ND, Utah, Wisconsin, Oklahoma) despite being a middle-ranked 3 star, so clearly the kid can play. Here's hoping.

he had as RFr at school like Oklahoma sounds promising. Hope he can continue developing and be a big contributor for us Sooner than later.

OU had the #1 D-line recruit in the country last year who made the 2-deep but that’s rare for OU. Venables has built a lot of depth on the D-line. Freshman and redshirt freshmen aren’t expected to start or even see a lot of action. Venables likes playing experienced upperclassmen on his front 7.

UCLA needs 2 more DTs. I hope they are out there to get.
