by 10 tomorrow. I say we have an xlnt chance to advance- we need to attack them and not lose focus... keep the pedal down! I like our revenge angle too re: Sparty and BYU.

time zone, home region, venue, weather advantages

Tell me what is stacking up well for UCLA. Smile, not much favors us.

Even the venue (the Spartans play at at Purdue every season), the region (Great Lakes, Big Ten turf) and the freaking cold, gloomy rainy weather today tilts to favor Michigan State. It's all familiar to he Spartans. The time zone and time change for us - pfffft - favors Michigan State.

There's the rub, for UCLA. Backs flat up to wall. And sure it's a winnable game like any game is at tip-off. Our guys have been miserably beatable at the final horn lately, at crunch time and for a while. UCLA come into tonight's game having lost four straight (even one at home), when every game mattered a heap. They're facing a decently good team, not a great team, away from Pauley Pavilion, and that's been a characteristic of the team's poison all year. Yoweeeee.

I love our Bruins ! I just think they don't even belong in this tournament anymore, qualitatively, in this condition, at this moment with these players. I hope they play well. Maybe Mick inspires them to a fever pitch. Maybe he calms them down to deadly efficiency. Maybe Hill plays and shocks the world. Maybe Johnny or Jules or Tyger go wild, for twenty points each. That's close to what I feel it's gonna take for our boys to survive and advance. A miracle. Could happen.

I'm ready to be shocked, surprised, reminded of their mid-season form. Do it, guys !

Go Bruins

70s came up with something I have never heard before. The weather advantage in an indoor sporting event. 70s is one of the best posters we got on this forum but you over thought this one I think.

Increased feelings of depression, isolation, anxiety are each phenomena strongly correlated to periods of cold, wet and grey skies. It's going to affect our players more negatively than the Michigan State players, who've seen it for months, maybe years.

Coupled to the hotel isolation, in the hotel Michigan State uses every visit at Purdue, yeah, weather triggers create a setting loaded with built-in home turf advantage.

Many of the UCLA team members have significant cold weather experience (Juzang, Etienne, Riley, Tyger, the whole coaching staff) so cold weather outdoors shouldn't be a problem this year!
