Don’t sleep on Akron

Holy smokes, these guys are drilling 3s. I’m watching their game in the MAC championship against Kent State. They are hitting 3s from everywhere.

If Bruin fans noticed anything about last year's trek to the Final Four, they have a good chance to remember how many upsets Mick's guys pulled off.

and came back strong. The 3 point shot is the equalizer. If I learned one thing in being a sports fan, NEVER under estimate your opponent. But again, Mick will be on top of his team reminding them of this.

Oh wait it’s my college basketball pool draft tonight. In case anyone is interested—-

8 people have teams and we all get 8 teams—(we ignore play in losing teams.)

If you get first overall and you take Gonzaga— they are off the table for everyone else. If you get 8th pick you also have 9, 7th has 10, and so on…. You get one point per win for each team. In theory if everyone does average they will have 4wins after round one. If you have 5 you’re doing very well and 6 is really strong. One year we had someone win 7, but ironically they lost 6 of 7 games in round 2 and only had 1 team left with 8 wins in the sweet 16.

I’m taking the bruins in the first round if I don’t have a top 4 pick…

Shouldn’t be much inside offense from a center who is 7’0” and 215 pounds.

... our Center is 6'7" and averages a double double. Aziz Bandaogo is a freshman 7' Center that has been phased out of the game plan for the most part due to scheme fit. He's not bad, just raw. We like to go small and have won with effort, tenacity, and determination. I don't know what the game plan is tonight, but we've been playing a trap style defense that requires quick recovery. Not exactly the best fit for a 7 footer.

If we don't make our shots, we're toast. You guys will outclass us most likely and cover the spread. If we do make our shots, expect Akron to at least cover the spread, if not take it down to the final few minutes/final possessions.

14-20 point win and off to the 2nd round. Not a good match up game for Akron but great match up game for bruins.
