Athletic French SG Ilane Fibleuil Visits UCLA (Must Read)

I don’t have time for a full scouting report, but 6’5” Wing / SG Ilane Fibleuil from France went on an official visit to UCLA.

I will say this.

If you saw Ilane playing in Venice Beach or Rucker Park, you’d assume he was a local hero. I’ve never seen a Euro play so little like one, and so much like an American. Especially in terms of being physical, and on defense where he flashes into the passing lane a la Jaylen Clark.

This young man would be part of the ‘23 recruiting class, and a huge (albeit little known) pick up for the Bruins. For comparison Fibleuil may be equal to Isaiah Elohim in size and physicality, but appears quicker.

Looks like he's visiting Gonzaga at the moment, where the current conditions are cold with a mix of rain and snow. Big contrast going from a big city with great weather last week to a small town with miserable weather this week. I hope Coach Cronin and staff can close this out.
