Surely no one expects...

... Mick to radicalize the overall offense at this point of season.

Even more to the point, I don't see a hidden, underused scoring or passing talent awaiting in the shadows. Who is the Bruin player with the skill so strong as to demand a rethinking of offensive play overall.

Whiners line up - feel free to take up the refrain that the team could be doing better by your hand. We're all ears.

Go Bruins

that Mick could do anything different with this roster to improve offensive output. The roster is what it is so they will need to find ways to win when the offense sputters. They have done so thus far but realistically we are talking about tournament time and how that will play out right? This is all simply preparation for the tournament and you know full well that if the offense has periods of 3-4 minutes where they cannot score that could lead to a swift exit. The team has played extremely hard and the defense is lights out but there will be a moment where they will need to outscore someone in the tournament to advance beyond the elite 8.

And Micks plan offensively is mostly about exploiting match ups for his main scorers and then allowing others to score off of that. For example, Singleton is not a guy that can create shots for himself. So he relies on others to create open looks for him. Like feeding the ball down low to Jaime and him kicking it back out to an open Singleton for spot up three (which is Singleton strength).

THe main problem with the offense is not the scheme but the fact that presently there are not enough guys that can get their own shots AND have the ability to make those shots consistently. I do not want to dismiss Tyger development with his shooting. Not sure you can count on him to provide you 20 every other game. He has never done it.

at 17-2.

I personally would prefer Mac playing more than Nwuba, but I suspect the staff knows better than I at this point about their relative readiness.

My one previous gripe was McClendon and Andrews getting little time, and now they're getting roughly 12 and 7 minutes, respectively. I think that's good from where I sit.

I am concerned with the number of minutes Jaime's been playing, but he played significantly fewer last night. All good things.

Despite the optics and apparent struggles, the Bruins are 12th in Offensive efficiency in the country, I think. They shot 50% yesterday as well.

Dylan Andrews looks like the real deal. I know folks on this forum are high on him also. I'd like to see him get more playing time. I hope he gains confidence to be more assertive on the offensive side. I realize that freshmen in Cronin's system defer to upper class men and rightly so. I just want him more involved offensively because he has nice shooting form, plays under control, and is efficient. I don't think teams are worried about him so he should get easier looks than Jaime or Tyger.
