RIP: Student manager Alex Moriarty, 20, brain cancer

Watching some NCAA tournament action when this popped up on social media. Man, for whatever reason, this one hit hard. Alex Moriarty was only 20 years old and a student manager for the men's basketball team, and he passed away after a four-year battle with brain cancer.

The friends of the family have setup a GoFundMe page to help defray the family's medical expenses.

He was recognized on Senior Night a couple of weeks ago, but couldn't attend.

I've been dealing with this disease for 5+ years and it's a tough road and a rollercoaster of ups and downs, but to succumb to this illness at the age of 20 it's unthinkable. The young man had a whole life ahead of him.

My prayers and thoughts go out to the family in this difficult situation.
