It's only been a few days for players to announce they are entering the transfer portal. Just for fun and without knowing who UCLA will pursue to replace Kobe Johnson, Lazar Stefanovic, and the two transfers William Kyle and Devin Williams (so far), here are some names.
PG Dedan Thomas (UNLV)
SG Dusty Stromer (Gonzaga) - not sure he plays enough defense for Cronin
SG Josh Dix (Iowa)
C Owen Freeman (Iowa)
C/PF Jevon Porter (LMU)
C Nick Davidson (Nevada)
C Blake Buchanan (Virginia)
Again, this is just to stimulate some conversation and begin wild speculation. I'm sure some of these players won't be considered by UCLA due to NIL demands or admissions or Cronin's lack of interest. And with a month long portal (not to mention possible extended windows for teams changing head coaches), there will be other players entering that will interest UCLA - PG Donovan Dent's name comes up frequently. |
