This is happening.
Once a player has gotten through college for a certain period of time, high school doesn't matter.
The only question was what kind of progress did Donovan make.
Now we know that he made progress, in more ways than one.
He's one of the 5 best PGs in the country and some of the other top 5 ain't coming back to college.
Don't be surprised if Devin comes back. Seth Trimble & over 40 other guys went into the portal last year and came back.
With Donovan at PG, Devin shot 44% from 3 on 6.8 attempts per game.
With Jared and Mike Price fighting over who should be the PG (Eric just did his thing and led the team in assists and had the best A/TO ratio on the team), Devin shot 22.2% from 3 on 2.4 attempts per game.
Hmmm...
Donovan makes everyone better.
Tyger did that.
I'm still kind of confused by Cronin's recruiting philosophy. Does he have one? I can't tell.
You know Greg Gard looks for shooters.
Tony Bennett looked for shooters and guys with size inside and out since he played that pack-line d. He had the same academic and financial strictures of Cronin, but until this past season he clearly was poorer than Cronin and got a 6-8 220 guy as his "5," Bennett clearly had a plan in his recruiting.
You can't just recruit players to respond to weaknesses every year, you need a plan and you need to stick with it.
That's true of every successful coach, as far as I can tell. I'm just making the observation. Maybe there's a plan and various things conspired to interrupt them. I don't go to practices and I've never met Cronin.

But he scored 17 and his team won handily.
Undoubtedly an upgrade if he comes. I like SoCal men who come back and play where they should have. |

Fwiw yesterday dent only followed cosch georgeton in ig.
Today he is following also skyy dailey bilodeau freny and our serbian coach.
Fingers crossed. Would be a Huge upgrade at the pg.
