I always liked Dylan .. he always represented UCLA and himself in a classy way.

Wish him the best.

To be clear i dont feel he is UCLA starter material.

However, could he not be used as practice partner, backup and/or insurance for dent going down?

Guess it prob comes down to Dylan feeling he is a starter for some other team. And maybe what UCLA is willing to pay him in NIL?

And do you think this means no Burries or Dedan Thomas?

that actually value a degree from a school like UCLA. Dylan did 3 years and doesn't even get to have UCLA on his resume. Where to now? Fresno State, UNLV ? He would literally have to stop playing and become a regular student to finish at UCLA. This has to suck for him. There will be lots of stories like Dylan's. Is this what they really wanted for college sports?

Why does he have to leave? Why couldn’t he stay and play a lesser role as a backup? And still get his degree from UCLA?

With the little I know, I have a hard time feeling sorry for him, that is, thinking he has somehow been cheated by circumstances. I would guess strongly that he could stay at UCLA without losing his scholarship and complete his degree. If the recruiting, transferring, paying, etc. situation were the same now as it was ten years ago, he still would have probably lost his starting role. Andrews has performed fairly poorly for most of his career at UCLA, for the level of basketball that UCLA aspires to, for a starting PG. It would appear he's leaving because he doesn't want to ride the pine. His decision.

Players wanted money. They deserve money. They got money. If money isn’t the goal, stop playing and stay at UCLA. Easy.

He needed to go.

If we get Dent it’s interesting. He gave us a preview of his abilities when we played him this year. He’s a big strong man and rag dolled Andrew’s when he chose.

He was giving every opportunity to be the teams primary PG. It just did not work out. He should go to a school with less pressure.

I tend to agree with you about the pressure... but ironically he seemed to handle Mick's rage with the best of them. Almost Tyger like in that regard.

In any event, the time has come.... I wish that kid nothing but the best. He tried...
