He's Going To Cost

Two thick arms and two thicker legs.

He also shot just 58% on his FTs.

He'll get more than Great Osobor (I'm so poetic). Use T.S. Eliot meter: "In the room, the ladies come and go and talk of Michelangelo."

Cronin doesn't have his hands on some portion of that Big 10 Network contract yet: $20 million a year to UCLA, but how much will Cronin get?

I think he'll know before the end of the year, but he doesn't know now. I say $6 million a year, enough to get a 5-star in the 2026 class. He already has $6 million to offer guys this year and he's paying $3 million to Donovan.

He likely has to pay $2 million for TRIV.

I think he should offer Jordan Palmer of St. Bernard $250,000 as a recruited walk-on.

That leaves $750,000, $1 mil if you don't recruit the walk-on.

That won't get Cherry.

But the $6 million is old news. That's what he had in October.

He might have $10 million by now for all we know.

So, Cronin can probably afford Cherry.

The trick is, why will he come to UCLA since Aday and Tyler are both going to play the 5 since no way Cronin only plays Tyler and Eric D 20 MPG strictly at the 4 next season? Nope.

Not when we'll face more top 25 teams with 4 G lineups than 2 post lineups.

I think Cherry will pick another school because he's thinking of himself and not us.

we are in contact with four centers

I understand one is really good(Bona type) in case Mara skips. this kid is from B10 country. There is A Slim chance Mara does not return so Cronin has a hedge on. Straight from the donut shop.

I agree the frontcourt trio will be Dailey, Bilodeau and Mara. How you convince another talented center to come is beyond me.

With Willard leaving, Chance Stephens?

Don't take this personally, but you would make the worst spy ever.

Do you tell Dinos that you post on the Internet?

I always tell him ahead of time if I'm not going to post something he tells me on the Internet and if he says he has no issue with it than I will post it.

He doesn't read this site, but you might want to be more discrete.

And no, as I responded to the Cherry on top post, I don't see any room for an instant starting C to come to UCLA since I don't think Aday's going to change his mind. Plus, he's going to cost and Cronin should spend that money on convincing Devin to come back: "Devin, Aday and Tyler will both be gone after this year. You will start at UCLA for 2 years if you're good enough and only 1 if you're even better than that. Donovan and Eric miss you already. Heck (I'll bet Cronin uses that word a lot), with Donovan back, he might make you look like Giannis."

Sales. It's not that hard.

Dinos is in Belmont Shore by the sea and sure eats a lot of donuts.

If you're talking about Cronin's brother or someone like that, that's not a source of information, that's just a fan.

Aaron Bradshaw?

Oh, please. Who wants him? Not UCLA, coaches or fans.

Against Iowa, who won at Ohio State with Owen Freeman out, some 6-8 SO and a 6-9 SR walk-on outplayed Bradshaw. if UCLA's recruiting him as insurance against Aday being a liar and a fool, Cronin is more of a fool than I thought.

Your boy TJ Power is available again. He just keeps getting worse the lower he goes...

He won't cost much, that's for sure.

So the 2026 budget won't get dinged, but he has to redshirt for a year at this point to see if he can actually start anywhere except maybe Fullerton State.

At a certain point, high school rankings no longer matter.

We've reached that point for a lot of guys. Like Donovan Dent.
