mishandling a player. That player was Larry Hollyfield. Nobody has ever done it better than Coach Wooden. Yet, somehow it seems to be Bruin blasphemy to suggest Mick Cronin mishandled Aday Mara. It happens. Coaches make mistakes.

Over half the board agrees. Mara is a good kid and I believe Cronin loved the kid and had his best interests at heart. Surprised it didn’t work out for next year based on all I read and saw in interviews but it is what it is. You have to make tough decisions when you coach and mistakes are made every game. I expect Mara to be very successful next year wherever he goes and I expect the Bruins to be better next year as well.

You're surprised based on all you read and saw in interviews? You saw Cronin throw him under the bus in public.... then last week claim all the Euros he recruited were terrible. You saw him underplay a guy for two years and give him several DNP's. Even this year.

So because he went to Micks for a couple dinners as a foreign exchange student that negates the mismanagement and stupid crap...

Even if he went to Mick and said I'm leaving you don't try to trash a kid. It's such a bad look and is shameful.

Thought it was a done deal. I saw a happy go lucky kid who was blooming and enjoying UCLA and his teammates. I didn’t read the Tracy story as I stopped reading BRO long ago. While I don’t trust TP as far as I can throw him I do believe CMC to be a truth teller. That is not the same as thinking he is the greatest coach and can do no wrong, but I don’t believe for a second that he lied to anyone regarding the Aday situation and I don’t remember CMC ever trashing Aday. I don’t read or watch everything but I think he always spoke highly of the kid.

Want to out up Aday Mara's character and veracity vs Cronin's Mick will lose. I've pointed out several of Cronin's public misstatements over the past few years. I would not put it past him to spread this crap... or maybe it was someone covering for him. I really hope it wasn't him.

I honestly have my doubts.

Mara is a huge loss. If history, is a teacher, we will hear about about “ potential “, yet, it’s just ,”out of reach”.
Kinda like Paul Newman, walking away from , the Fat Man”.
