Okay, "they call him a wing."
Who is they?
I assume you mean the UCLA coaches or 24/7, Rivals, et al.
You also something about "If they add one more player."
Um... if UCLA adds one more player, they're going to add this player who you say they're getting?
That makes no sense.
But then you said something about the player getting nervous.
Now, I add 1+1 and compute the answer of 2: You must be alluding to a player who signed early and now with the portal wide open and guys declaring for the draft, a lot of schools are adding players like they're going out of style... which might cause a player to waiver on an early commitment especially if he perceives they've recruited over him (possibly because NLI inflation and transfers getting more money than all but the highest 5's might make the player think he's being taken for granted).
A player who signed early, a "SF," someone UCLA showed interest in (that goes without saying), someone Numbers showed interest it (that goes even more without saying), and now the school they signed with is signing lots of players. But I bagged on him several times.
I can think of only one player who fits everything except the bagging.
Winters Grady, right?
He's listed as a 6-5 or 6-6 SF by everyone, UCLA offered him, he signed with Michigan in the Fall, he transferred to Napa Prep in Cali from Texas, and while the only player signed by Michigan since between 6-1 and 6-9 is 5-star Trey McKinney, 6-4 225 CG, they do have Roddy Gayle, 6-5, who will be a SR and a good bet to start, and LJ Cason, 6-2 CG, back, and the 6-1 guy is Elliott Cadeau, a good bet to start with Gayle and McKinney up front.
Landeborg seems likely to stay in the draft, but if he transfers to Michigan, he's 6-9 230, like Moretz, and Aday is even taller than 6-9, and Tschetter at 6-8 is back. But all 4 are posts.
So, Winter should just stay put, but I guess if Michigan does add another portal G I can see Winter saying, "But my NIL is so small!"
How am I doing?
I watched him and said, "Incredible athlete, scouts say he needs to improve his 3 and handle. He looks pretty good from 3 to me."
He got hurt his JR year and I wrote his leg had a heavy wrap on it and that seemed to affect his shooting from 3, but not his athleticism. I never saw him as a SR since he signed with Michigan.
How is that bagging on him?
I think Jamar Brown starts over him.
There, I bagged on him. Happy now? |
