5 and 2.5 at NCC is hardly impressive, will he even get any PT?

emergency situations.

That's what this kid is, a practice player with size that will push the starters and provide an inexpensive insurance if things go awry in the post.

You need guys like this.

We lose any of our Forwards or Center to injury that will hurt big time.

Than Evan Manjikian.

Remember, Cronin uses his posts defensively very differently from how Izzo uses them:

Izzo wants his posts to play tough position d: Don't leave the key. Stay behind your man. Your man is yours.

Cronin wants his posts to move (switch and rotate) to play d. Switch, rotate, switch, rotate, never stop moving. Keep those arms up and waving. Deflect, poke, swipe and dive.

Anthony moves a lot better than Evan.

I think we have enough Gs if Eric D can actually handle the position.

And Christian and Jack are better walk-on Gs than you usually see at most schools.

Nonetheless, I'd be pleased as punch to see Cronin make an NIL deal with a very quick G, someone who can run everyone on the team off the floor with the ball or without it except for DD (or even counting him) if for some reason we need to dig deep and play someone like that for 5 minutes in a real game and not just in the last minute of a blowout.

Having him rotate at the 4 and 5 would cover our depth weakness at that position. I think we have plenty of guards. Wishful thinking.
