Bruins win 10-0 in 4.5 innings; Faraimo another no-hitter

Dominant. Bruins just crushed offensively and no-hit defensively the #3 Florida Gators. Helluva start to a HUGE non-conference weekend culminating with Oklahoma on Sunday.

They played a weak schedule so far and don’t have any top tier aces. But, Megantron with her 2nd no hitter of the season and her first against a ranked opponent. The whole team is dialed in right now. And it seems like they still haven’t come close to peaking yet.

The OU matchup will be telling. The Sooners seem to have taken a step down, while the Bruins have stepped up.

Too bad hardly anyone saw this one because of FloSoftball’s hold on streaming the Mary Nutter tournament.

Woochifer noted earlier. What is really exciting and a bit scary is how well freshmen Grant and Woolery are batting in the 3 and 4 spots in the lineup. Their hitting has made placing Brady in the second spot even more effective.

Faraimo shut down Florida and is credited with a five inning no hitter as UCLA rolled in this game.

Let's hope the weather allows most of the games to be played in this invitational.
