Bruins down 4-0 going into the bottom of the 5th v. Arizona. The 5th just ended with the Bruins up 4-6, all runs coming with 2 outs.

Of course, to start the 6th as I type this, the Cats hit a lead-off, 1st-pitch homerun to cut the lead to 1. The big news is Tinsley is pitching, so all the burden not resting on Terry for the postseason.

Turn on this contest while there's time. ESPN2.

Zona has a great lineup, but they don't have great pitching. And with the Bruin lineup now dialed in, it's going to take a lot to keep them at bay. Aissa Silva had a perfect game going in the rubber game against UCLA a couple of weeks ago, but the Bruins broke the game open in the 5th with a huge comeback. They did the same thing last night.

Great to see Tinsley able to pitch after Terry got into trouble against the Cats lineup again.

Now, the Bruins can clinch the Pac-12 title outright with win over Utah, which upset #2-seed Stanford in the semifinal. With UCLA ranked #10 in the RPI, any losses by teams ahead of them would ordinarily be a benefit. But, the Bruins' strength of schedule would have gotten a bigger lift by playing Stanford in the championship game. I don't know if the Stanford loss would now drag them down below UCLA in the RPI. But, a Bruin win in the championship game would certainly help.
