Some Promising T&F Marks for UCLA in Spokane
Posted Fri, Jan 17 4:24 pm (Edited Fri, Jan 17 4:32 pm)
Joanna Hayes took a sizable contingent to the 2025 Spokane Sports Showcase today (1/17) and got some solid performances from several of her athletes. The opposing teams included USC, WA State, Cal, Gonzaga and several others. Here are the notable Bruin men and women performers. Keep in mind that this was an indoor meet, and the Podium in Spokane has a banked 200m track.

Note on the Men's 4x400m Relay Team

In response to Some Promising T&F Marks for UCLA in Spokane (MacBruin)
UCLA's team of Parker Raymond, Angus Harrington, Tamaal Myers II, and Bennett Booth-Genthe did not finish the race in Spokane. Only five teams were entered, and Washington State won in 3:09.13, easily beating Idaho. Montana State's A and B teams didn't start. It will be interesting to see if Hayes can cobble together decent 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams this season. I'm doubtful.

The 4x400 relay team makeup

In response to Note on the Men's 4x400m Relay Team (MacBruin)
The 4x400 relay team was one of the limited highlights of the men's sprint teams last year. From the results you posted earlier, two of the members of this version run the 800M and one the 1000M (the other is Myers II who I believe is a hurdler). I'm no expert but I would think you want some runners familiar with 400M races on the relay team but maybe Hayes doesn't have many options in year one.
