Posted Wed, Apr 02 11:19 am
UCLA sent several athletes to the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, a huge, 4-day meet spanning high school, college and pro competitors, and the high point for Joanna Hayes' contingent was the women's 4x400m relay team (Aly Conyers, Taylor Snaer, Kayla McBride and Naomi Johnson). They took second place in the university division with a good time of 3:29.41 (sandwiched between Arkansas and TCU). Also on the women's side of the ledger, Jana van Schalkwyk finished second in the javelin with a strong throw of 185-3. The men's 4x400m quartet of Gabriel Clement II, Tamaal Myers II, John Robinson IV and Zaire Waring finished fifth in 3:07.27.
