daughter of our former fb safety washington.

i forgot his first name but he was a UCLA fb sportscaster too.

sago and doc era was gene washington but think that was the wrong one.

anyway this 1st baseman went 3 for 4 or something. she hits like steve garvey.

been watching replays on YouTube as break on my book on the torah observant christian movement.

bama won like 44 playoff games in a row in their regional which is in tuscaloosa. stanford beat them twice to knock theelephant out.

been enjoying the replays.

Kinsley looks exactly like Pops, including the mile wide / magnetic smile.

In the 2020 College World Series defeat of Oklahoma, Kinsley drove in the walk off run.

here is replay of first game yesterday.

https://youtu.be/vyAL1nqBdms

back in the day, i was asked to play on calvary chapels 2nd team. they had 8 or 9 teams.

i played shortstop and lead off batter. some relief pitching.

the 1st team was ex pros and minor league players. they were known for home runs so I didn't fit into that team's m.o..

i had a exceptional 1st and 2nd gear running and could of run a 4.3 forty if I only had an exceptional 4th gear... but it translated well on the short base pads of slo pitch.

i think i was a better shortstop than at least most of these women. don't remember making errors.

i would stand in front of a wall 20 feet away from my brothers and they hit grounder at each other as hard as we could until we missed. i called that game "brooks robinson" because he never made errors.

i was left handed and played right handed so the glove was on my best hand was an advantage.

never wore a cup even in hard ball because wasn't worried about making am error.

but for sure don't think i could hit softball as well as these girls as we played slo pitch.

women's softball is a great spectator sport, just behind the little league world series.

go bruins!!!

thanks for listening to my old man stories.

the UCLA game is at 5:30 pm vs duke.

Games are live on the ESPN networks this weekend

Unless you don't have an ESPN login or service, why are you waiting on the YouTube replays to watch the games?

Bruin pitcher Megan Faraimo had some early trouble but shut down a potent Duke lineup last night. Set down the last 14 batters in a row, while she also got a 2-run pinch hit that drove in the winning run. The Bruins are looking to eliminate Duke tonight and head to their 7th WCWS in a row.

If the current scores hold up, the SEC will be down to its last remaining team at the end of the day, and Florida will need to play an elimination game on Sunday to stay alive. 12 out of the 13 SEC teams received NCAA invites, and there's a good chance that none of them will advance to the WCWS. 9 of the 12 SEC teams were eliminated in the Regionals, including 3 of the 5 seeded teams. All 3 of those seeded SEC teams lost to unseeded Pac-12 teams.

The Pac-12 still has 4 teams alive. Arizona State is the only team in position to be eliminated today by an opposing conference. They have the late game on ESPN2 after the UCLA-Duke game concludes.

SECN has been streaming SEC softball the whole season. And now ESPN2 is streaming the NCAA playoffs.
Guess who ESPN wants to see in those playoffs?
