"You don't get a trophy for being the only school who never plays FCS schools." I think this has been reflected in our rankings for the past few decades; we don't get bonus points for playing slightly harder opponents. Might as well schedule some cupcakes and get the actual benefits: more rest for our starters, more experience for our backups.

So I don’t see the problem with UCLA doing it and they were supposed to play Michigan who is in the top 10 this year so it’s not like they are dodging big time matchups Michigan is the one who backed out.
