While I think UCLA will be able to put up points, I also feel HC Kelly won't be completely opening up the offense in this game. With one of the weakest non-conference slates ever (thanks to Michigan bailing out of the game scheduled for this year), I'm guessing the UCLA game plan will score enough points to win while not running the full playbook.
I expect the defense to be improved this year. I understand there is some doubt about new DC McGovern but I figure he has to be an improvement over Azzinaro. Plus the return of Ken Norton as LB coach should provide a boost. Bowling Green may score late to cover. |

Sometime this week I need to look at what the bookies say.
For now I say Chip makes it a three score margin on purpose (he is a gentle man) and the actual score depends on luck/random variation and how far the defense has come. My confidence with the offense at present is 8/10 while confidence with defense is 6/10.
Example we take the opening kickoff to the house. Then we get a fumble and score followed by a pick six. Thats up three from then on we would use a mix of players that gives everyone experience so its a low scorer. On the other-hand if it becomes closer to a “you score-we score game”, we still keep the three touchdown lead but the total of the two teams scores moves up pretty high.
Either could happen but we win by 21. So middle of the road says 42 to 21. |
