Without special team hiccups, the score is 48-7.

626-162 yards, with 75 of BG's coming on their only TD drive.
But is a QB controversy brewing with Garbers getting a 281 rating, while DTR got a tad over half of that? Ha ha.

Anyway, a 44 yard FG try isn't a gimme, but a 28 yarder is.

Chip made great adjustments but will you get away with that oline play vs better teams in the conference? The Lt was getting pancaked by mac players.

I was at the game and it wasn't as bad as you're making it seem with the OL. There were clearly 1st game jitters, oppressive heat, new line combos, new OL coach, new players at new positions and so on. These are not excuses they are reality. It took some time to get it sorted out but you should look at the bright side that they did get it sorted out.

I don't think the OL 1st quarter of play was a real indication of what this unit will be as the season goes on. These early season games against weaker opponents are made for this..........figuring stuff out and that's exactly what they did. The OL was fine the last 3 quarters of the game.

...and two missed FGs is bad Special Teams. The Jury is still out but that ST play will keep us from contention for the South if they don't improve. Good thing all kickoffs were deep.
