or maybe CCK has a knack of evaluating potential others don't.
Agreed that it's harder to be enthusiastic about a Portal transfer from Penn than say Penn St, but definitely the kid will get a chance to show his stuff...rooting for him. |

Assuming they want to play big time football, why would they have UCLA - which hasn’t won a conference championship in their lifetime - at the top of their list?
Also, while facilities are improved, they are still not Oregon/USC level.
If they go to Alabama, Alabama has more “Analysts” (coaches above the NCAA 9 coach limit) who can help them breakdown technique and concepts (I hear Saban really pitches this “You come here, we video every rep in practice, and our analysts break down your technique, and identify every opportunity where you can improve, so that you can maximize your football development..”).
UCLA has always done it cheap. If we can figure it out, so can the recruits.
Don’t you have to allow time for the coach to develop and win with 3 and 4 stars before you generate interest with the 5 stars? |

...he was in the portal for 2 days before he was offered by UCLA and only a week before he made his decision.
Secondly, what a crappy way to welcome a new Bruin.

significant contributor.
Has good size and hes been productive....with over 20 sacks and 25 TFL over the last 2 years. If he can provide half that in his final year, Id be more than happy.
You cant underestimate the contributions of the Duke boys over the last couple years and Sykes effectiveness on the DL.
I dont expect an all-world player (like Charbonnet) happening often, but as long as these pieces fit, I am happy. Expecting more action off the portal as well and my hopes are that each contributes something over the rest of their careers with the Bruins.
I think the C Kelly system on the offensive side of the ball is set and will be productive because of the system. And I do think pieces are in place for the Offense to be almost as or just as effective as this current year. |
