Despite the excuses to the contrary, it’s clear this team is very talented.
Mora, meanwhile, left Chip with 7 scholarship OL, a true freshman quarterback and nothing else, Boss Tagaloa with wasted years on the DL, etc.
Our starting D had some talent, but very little depth.
If Wilton Speight hadn’t gone down, I think Chips first season would have looked like this. C’est la vie. |

From Hawaii and Indiana to yesterday - the line has made a huge improvement. The line has been maligned more than any other group the past two years and they may not have NFL potential but they have been getting the job done. As a result, EB’s plays have been looking good.
When Ohio State lost their LT, the offense did nothing. Castillo had the backup playing well last night when Prongos went down. Next man up.
For a defense that doesn’t have anyone who has pass rushing skills, it’s doing about as good as expected. Femi has been playing great vs the run and he can chase down QBs when they try to run but he is still a work in progress as far as beating tackles one on one. Nonetheless, he is the best rusher and moving him to end was a smart move
