Penn State is poaching Buckeyes’ DC Knowles
Posted Sun, Jan 26 1:31 pm
There were rumors that he was headed to Oklahoma.

Day may be replacing both coordinators if Kelly is offered the Texans’ OC position.

He’ll be competing with Notre Dame for a DC.

They'll decide to go after Malloe instead.

This Buckeyes website thinks he should be a top candidate, anyway.

Chip could be leaving anyway so his connection to Malloe might not matter.

is base 3-4 guy. Matt Guerierri was with Jim Knowles since Duke days. Became Co-DC at Duke after Knowles left for Ok St. Interesting to see if they keep the scheme or go with proven 3-4 guru in Leonard. If they keep the scheme, Guerierri, and possibly Lynn($$$) or Malloe($) could still be in the mix?

Day will probably keep the same scheme

He just won a Natty. Going to a 3-4 seems like too big of a change, especially with so many new starters on defense.
