Where was this ire when Lincoln logs bolted to SUC talking many talent with him from Norman? No hit piece for crybaby Caleb when he left OU either? How about the clear tampering with Jordan Addison?

It cracks me up when people gut all uppity about an article written to get people all uppity about said article.

Being critical of an article is hardly “getting uppity”

I think Plaschke needs to realize that the NCAA rules committee comprised of athletic directors of member schools extended the transfer portal period beyond spring practice. The schools are aware that they can lose players and many have discontinued spring scrimmage games to avoid showcasing players. Plaschke should direct his complaint at the rule makers instead of the players and schools who follow those rules.

When he wrote the article, he didn't know about Madden (LA Times is a day behind in sports) transferring in. I do feel sorry for Joey Aguilar, but so what? Plaschke seems to have a difficult time understanding that maybe two young men of Pacific Islander heritage who grew up in SoCal were not happy in places like Tennessee or Arkansas.

Reportedly headed to Tennessee for the same NIL deal. Either way you slice it, whether he pans out out not, $1M for one year is pretty darn sweet. No tears from me.

On anything from the LA Times.

Joey is kicking ### taking names. He will rarely need to buy a drink or a meal in the forcible future. Close to home, loved and appreciated.

LA Times, not so much.

despite living in my neighborhood and writing a thoughtful article about the fires in Altadena.
Is honestly becoming a smear agent.

He should stop and reread the dribble he is writing and understand the impact.
Nico is still a boy.

They are just taking advantage of the NCAA rules written by a committee of member school athletic directors who decided to extend the transfer portal window through Spring practice. This allows teams to poach, and no conference poaches like Tennessee’s SEC. So it is hard to shed a tear for the Vols.

yes he is 20...big difference...publicity has nothing to do with it. It's just grown arse adults beating on him like he is a grown arse adult...which he isnt.

Beat on his Dad and his reps, but those of us who have raised kids into true adulthood know that at 20 there is still a boat load of maturity and growth still to come.

If he’s old enough to take the payday, he’s old enough to take the public criticism.
