Drink of choice for tonight's game? PS WAKE UP
Posted Thu, Oct 15 5:22 am
It's game day!

I scrounged up my new favorite beer: Belching Beaver Brewery's Peanut Butter Stout.

Sounds gross? Bear with me (pun intended). It doesn't taste like peanut butter, but has a creamy taste. Slight vanilla flavor, but there's a whole lot more going on. Belching Beaver is a San Diego brewery but I cannot recommend this stuff highly enough. Get your hands on some.

What are y'all drinking?

Ewwww, it does sound weird but I will try to taste that one.

I'm a wine guy but last night with friends, we were served and enjoyed a new one to me, from a old producer: Deschutes' Fresh Squeezed IPA. Very, very tasty suds, having lots of grapefruit and pear flavor and a great aroma, but best of all, lacking the extreme bitterness that high hopped IPA can carry.

Recommended.

Is that real drink?

If I can find it, I'll try it just for you. If not, I'll stick to Lagunitas.

I'm a tea totaler. Never could stomach alcohol. Never felt comfortable drinking it either.

Best I I've ever had. Go easy though, they go about 9%.
Mix in a few coors lights or you might pull a Sark.

Belching Beavers Damned Double IPA is also another excellent selection of theirs. With the explosion of local breweries and local marts that cater to craft beer enthusiasts, there is a abundance of flavors that can satisfy anyone's taste. Tonight though I will be staying dry.

Without the Scotch.
Taken either with an Excedrin or a chocolate chip cookie depending how the game unfolds.

Breakside's Wanderlust IPA

I live in Portland, Breakside's IPA and Wanderlust are probably the best two IPA's in town, I picked some up on the way to work and now I'm counting down the hours.

I'm from San Diego originally though and I'm not a fan of Belching Beaver, although I have a lot of history in the building their new tap room is in on 30th, I used to live in that neighborhood way back when it was just regular old North Park, not the fancy bar scene it is now.
