Ewwww, it does sound weird but I will try to taste that one.
I'm a wine guy but last night with friends, we were served and enjoyed a new one to me, from a old producer: Deschutes' Fresh Squeezed IPA. Very, very tasty suds, having lots of grapefruit and pear flavor and a great aroma, but best of all, lacking the extreme bitterness that high hopped IPA can carry.

Belching Beavers Damned Double IPA is also another excellent selection of theirs. With the explosion of local breweries and local marts that cater to craft beer enthusiasts, there is a abundance of flavors that can satisfy anyone's taste. Tonight though I will be staying dry.

I live in Portland, Breakside's IPA and Wanderlust are probably the best two IPA's in town, I picked some up on the way to work and now I'm counting down the hours.
I'm from San Diego originally though and I'm not a fan of Belching Beaver, although I have a lot of history in the building their new tap room is in on 30th, I used to live in that neighborhood way back when it was just regular old North Park, not the fancy bar scene it is now. |
