A&M Tailgate
Posted Thu, Aug 18 5:44 am
For those going to the A&M game and are not planning on going to the UCLA private tailgate, what are your plans?

Should a throng of Ucla fans try to meet up and cruise the area together? Anyone having their own little tailgate that wouldn't mind 2 huge Bruin fans joining them?
Is there anything in particular that is a must see or do in and around college station?

There are apparently lots of bars within walking distance

My crew of 4 will probably be hitting several of these up before the game (and most likely the night before.)

My buddy who went to aTm and still goes to games recommends the following bars:

Dixie Chicken
Dry Bean Saloon
The Tap
Carney's

Apparently the "Northgate" area is where it's at. He also recommends getting into the game early for the Corps March and potential flyover.

$85 for any "party" is steep unless it comes with free lap dances. That being said I signed up for my first Bruin Bash to see what it's like.
