Overload, so I’ll post here

Simple enough- I graduated from UCLA in 1977.

(Some great years there- Wooden’s final season in 1975, which naturally ended in a title, plus Rose Bowl victory in 1976)

I had a tendency to do dumb stuff that ended with non-life-threatening injuries so I became known as "The Unknown Stuntman". This later turned into Colt Seavers, and eventually just Colt. Also, I've never been with anything less than a 9.

I live in Sunset Beach and have loved and followed UCLA since watching the Bruins play under the Tommy Prothro and John Wooden as a kid.

I also had a good friend playing on the football team a couple of years ago during the Brett Hundley/Anthony Barr era and got to go behind the scenes and do some events with the team.

"I have long been a lurker on this board....never thought about posting. When we relocated to the Tulsa area about 12 years ago, I needed to contact some other fans for help with tickets to the game at Tennessee. I try to attend every bruin game within reasonable driving distance(and sometimes unreasonable). I've been able to see such great wins as the Tennessee, Nebraska, and Texas wins, but also attended the losses at Kstate, Houston and OU."

I'm not a big poster but I'm a big Bruin Gold Rover for the latest inside scoop of my beloved Alma Mater.
In the late ’60s, a band student wrote lyrics to a popular tune being played during football games, “I’m Looking Over a Four Leaf Clover.” The UCLA song was retitled “Rover.” At the height of the legendary John Wooden era, “Rover” was played only after lopsided basketball victories, which were virtually every game. Now, “Rover” is played after all UCLA victories immediately following the alma mater.

YEAH, IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE A GREAT UCLA BB TEAM AGAIN!!!
GOOD MEMORIES!!!

I'm an admirer of Aristophanes the ancient Athenian playwright who wrote farcical comedies often concerning the most politically unpopular and dangerous subjects. Sometimes the only way to present an unpopular truth is through comedy.

THIS IS UNUSUAL. DO YOU EVER FIND PEERS IN YOUR INTEREST...MUST BE A NORTH CAMPUS EDUCATION.

I simply wanted to pay tribute to of all the mysteries that science and reason don’t have answers to (although I’m also a big supporter of science).

Older term plus a logo phrase

I just combined what is probably an older term referring the UCLA population as UCLAns and part of the well known Nike phrase to come up with my name - it represents both Bruin perseverance and encouragement.

I've enjoyed this post and the responses - another example of what DocJock brings to Bruin Gold. It's been entertaining to read how others came up with their forum posting names.
