In response to thinking of buying a TV and fubu streaming subscriotion (A W Root Beer Bear)

The good news is that recordings don't expire. The bad news is that the interface is kinda wonky compared to YouTube TV.
But, all in all, it's the best sports related streaming platform. $69 + $8 for ESPNU + $11 for Pac-12 Network.

well couldn't get fiber optics into this building so got the verizon version of wi fi.
30 day free trial and it is much cheaper when you sign up for monthly automatic payment.
no activation charges.
there are two levels of verizon wireleas:
1. basic 2. faster
i got the cheaper one. i think it will be $50 dollars a month with auto-pay.
i hope i get good resolution.
they gave me a 8" x 6" cube with a choice of eithernet cable or wi fi connection from the box to the tv. it looks attractive.
i will got 4k mini led for brightness over the much less bright but slightly deeper color oled tvs.
there are some last year model samsung mini led at best buy. 2021 is brighter than 2022 but pretty much identical to 2022.
the 2021 model number is Samsung QN 90 A 2022 is Samsung QN 90 B

I used Sling this past season and found it to be especially useful. There's an add-on package that gets you pretty much any channel the game would be on outside local channels. They include P12 Network, FS1, ESPN, ESPN 2, and ESPNU where games sometimes start while other games wrap up.
I combined both Sling Orange and Blue, plus the sports extra and it cost me $75 per month. To watch games on ABC, NBC OR CBS you can just get a cheap antenna from Target, Walmart or any of dozens of retailers. Ours cost less than $20 and works all the time. As an additional perk, you can download the sling app and watch anything on your phone wherever you are, and can even chromecast it to a TV very easily.
I cancelled my SlingTV subscription for the summer because I only care about football and basketball. So I have no need for it again until September. Dropping it saves you money and as someone else mentioned, they often add incentives for users who sign back on. With Sling canceled from May to August, that's $300 in savings. If you don't mind going without from the end of basketball to the start of football, Sling will cost you $50 a month. Well worth it, and Sling also carries the BigTen Network. That will be nice when leaving the house and going to a local bar. Games will actually be on TV instead of having to watch on a phone like most in the U.S. currently have to do since the P12 distribution is awful. |
