Where is everyone?
Posted Mon, Feb 20 5:23 pm
We finally got a forum to deal with food and drink and everyone disappears. Hopefully we're not a filled up on sour grapes after last Saturday.

All that you describe are great, but the blue cheese salad, red cabbage salad and cheese bread are why we really go.

I hear that!!! The problem with the red cabbage salad and the cheese bread is that they are so delicious that you can actually get full on them alone and then be stuffed by the time that your entree arrives!!!

Red Cabbage Salad

A few years back the LA Times had the recipe for the Red Cabbage salad. It is as good as if not better than the original. When i've made it ,I've had people tell me they like it better than the original. Yum Yum.

Normally for seafood I usually eat at the Original Fish Company in Los Alamitos, but since I am going to be in Downtown LA for the Kings Blackhawks game I will be eating here. The place is very upscale & the food is pretty good. I do recommend this restaurant to anyone.

It appears to me that you have good taste in fine food! I must make it a point to go to Huntington Beach just to try out Captain Jacks. Perhaps in the summer, while I am there I can also get a chance to look at all the bikinis!!!

Anyplace that I can have a good meal AND check out those hot blondes in bikinis is mandatory!!! If they have a lounge where I can enjoy a cigar & a nice scotch than even better!!!

I have heard about this place & I have also read the reviews for this place on yelp. The reviews were mixed but if you have tried it and you recommended it, then that is good enough for me. Sometimes you cannot go by what other reviewers say, sometimes you have to find out for yourself. I will be in Santa Barbara in July, I will check it out!!!

...sea food try The Reel Inn on PCH in Malibu. Very casual but good food at very reasonable prices.
