STEAKHOUSES IN NEW YORK!!!
Posted Mon, Mar 05 6:57 pm (Edited Mon, Mar 05 6:58 pm)
I will be fulfilling one of my bucket list's of things to do this year & I will be going to New York with the little woman & my daughter in December. I definitely plan on dining at Peter Lugers & Keens steakhouse, I will also try Nathans Hot Dogs in Coney Island. Yeah, I know that it is just a hot dog place, but what the hell, I am already going to be there so I have to see if they compare to Carneys or my beloved Dodger Dogs. I am going mostly by word of mouth & I also am relying on Yelp, but since I have never been there before I am open to any suggestions that any of you may have if you have been there. Thanks in advance!!!

I was in New York a few years ago and this deli was down the street from the hotel. Wanting the full New York experience, I strolled down the street and stepped in the door. Right inside the door was the counter where you ordered for take out. In the back was the sit down restaurant. The place shows its age. I ordered a corn beef sandwich which cost a bit from what I remembered. I took it back to the hotel and opened the box. It must have been about a 1.5 pounds! I knew I could not eat the whole thing so I decided to eat a half and put the rest up. The first bite was a surprise. It was tender, flavorful and moist. Delicious! I ate the first half and thought to myself, "I will only have a bite of the second half and save the remaining for the next day". The next thing I knew, I had finished the entire sandwich. It was so good I just could not stop. Check it out.

Nathan's FRIES.

Their dogs are just dogs, but you'll never taste fries like theirs. I don't know what they do to 'em, but they taste better than any i've tried.

NYC is a place of many tastes. There's the "Meatball Shop" that serves varieties of meatballs,,,there's "Rice to Riches" that sells 3 dozen varieties of rice pudding,,,
S'Mac" that serves mac and cheese,,,the best neopolitan pizza at "Pizzarte",,,and if you want unique dogs, there's "Japadog" at St marks,,,and "Asiadog"(hard to spot) on Kenmare,

Next to Pizza 28, that I mentioned in another thread, is "Sweet Revenge" a few doors away that combines cupcakes with beers. Their signature combo is the "sweet revenge" cupcake with a german light beer. MMMMM

Also for your little girl,,,"Serendipity" on e, 61st I think. A true kid's place. burgers fries malts ice cream sodas,,,there's always a line. There's "Donut Plant" on 23rd and lower east side. Max Brenner - Chocolate by the Bald Man where everything served is somehow chocolatized.

WHERE ARE YOU STAYING IN THE CITY?

Haven't been here for a while but I thought I'd mention. If you prefer quantity, Pizzarte is not for you. Best tasting ino, but it won't fill you up.
