A few places in that area, Lordsburg Taphouse and Grill and House of Wings Sportsbar both just east of 57 fwy and Arrow Highway. Right by University of LaVerne. Will try and think of few others out that way |

viewers.
Clubhouse 66 offered us the 120 inch projection big screen with sound. Dedicated viewing area, ie our reservation tables set up in front of the screen.
It is a larger place, i think they can handle us. They also have 16 other tvs and the Pac 12 Network.
If someone brings a laptop with speakers, then we can listen to Chris Roberts via TuneIn Radio simultaneously with no lag time audio/video.
1. Location 2. FB viewing 3. Food 4. Brew
I think the FB viewing is the most important criteria so I am tending toward the Club unless we can get better FB viewing somewhere else with freebies or something.
What do you think? |

After checking out the restaurants websites suggested by our Bruins in that neighborhood, I have come to a decision on the location of the UCLA Bruin / Texas shorthorn party. There was no shortage of nice restuarants and sports bars in that area and the decision was difficult.
Pretty much it came down to receptiveness from management for our visit. The selected place gave us 3 televisions with Pac 12 Network, ESPN, and a second game plus sound.
The second place location said they could not make a reservation until late August or early Sept. although i did think about the Bread pudding while falling asleep last night.
Thanks to Hot Dog 63 for the first raffle prize donation. We also got a Clubhouse66 t-shirt donation from their manager Carol. Any donations or Bruin Gear for our free raffle would be appreciated and acknowledged. If you see a deal on something at Costco or a sporting good shop, buy one for the party...even small key chains are aprreciated. Our wealthy Bruins should make a donation for the raffle (talking to you Bruin Pete and Oaks).
We do need a volunteer for the name tags.
Also mulitiple laptops with tune in internet radio download with speakers wanted to listen to Chris Roberts. The restuarant has free wifi.
Spread the word on the viewing party, set up car pools from the South Bay area, and Ventura/Camarillo areas. Look forward to a big time party and a big win.
Anybody know Geoff Strand, please invite him as an honorary guest, along with BG Admin also.
Here is the reservation:
Hi David I will put a reservation in the system...When you know the time of the game please let us know ASAP. (Especially if it is a night game which would change where we list the reservation in our system.) Also, as the date gets closer we need to get a better idea of how many people you will have. We do have a large group on the patio that day from 12-5pm, so we need to know how many will be in your group so we know what to plan for.
