So many fantastic moments. McNeal's interception. Cowan taking a thuggish cheap shot and popping right back on the field. The rumble during the timeout. Pete's face after the game.
But more than anything, the energy. I was there, and I've never seen the Rose Bowl rocking harder. UCLA fans gave it everything they had, and the team returned the favor. Favorite sports experience of my life. |

It was the first time taking my future wife to a UCLA SC game. I could tell she was not believing me when in the 3rd quarter I told her we were going to win this game. |

That interception when a USC touchdown seemed almost assured clinched a Rose Bowl berth for the Bruins and ended Rob Johnson's career quest to avenge his brother, Bret, against Bret's old school and coach. The visiting students' section was straight Bedlam. |

Beban to Altenberg. We came back to beat SC and went to Rose Bowl where we beat mighty Michigan State. Bob Stiles buried himself into Bob Apisa to clinch the upset for our first Rose Bowl victory. |

The best games had to mean something. Beating SC to qualify for the Rose Bowl Game was more important than beating them with nothing on the line. Certainly anytime we beat them was great but going to the Rose Bowl and keeping them from going was the ultimate.I do not mean to downplay the other exciting games mentioned. The A&M game was incredible but unfortunately was lost amid a lousy season. |

Is still the one for me with Cade and Skip Hicks leading the Bruins to an unbelievable come from behind victory in OT. Skip's TD run over right tackle with 39 seconds left is something I will never forget. |
