Wooden and Moses

I'm a writer and am working on a project about Moses Malone. Does anybody have information about Coach Wooden recruiting Moses? Alternately, any suggestions on where I can get information about that? Thank you.

You may want to check out back issues of Basketball Times and Street and Smiths Basketball Year Book. I have some in storage but not able to get to them. YouTube is also a good source. He did sign with the University of Maryland. But then the ABA came a calling. Bypassing college all together and signing with the Virginia Squires.

Frank Arnold did much of the player watching and talent recruiting for Coach Wooden in those days. Maybe you'll find something searching for docs using his name.

I doubt there's much to be found. There wasn't a lot of money spent on travel back then unless a player name came to us on direct referral first.
